WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
Delivered in partnership with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, the PALS Renewal course is intended for healthcare providers working in a hospital or non-hospital setting who wish to increase their skills in the emergency cardiovascular and respiratory care of children and infants. Techniques and skills for resuscitating and stabilizing infants and children in respiratory failure, cardiopulmonary arrest, or shock are introduced. The PALS Renewal course utilizes case-based sessions, simulations, video presentations, didactic discussions and hands on practice to help each student achieve success in the course and in practice.
ELIGIBILITY
The PALS Renewal Course is for those who have taken a PALS course within the past 2 years.
ADD BLS TO YOUR COURSE
The Basic Life Support (BLS) course is required prior to completion of your ACLS course. If you don’t have a current BLS certificate from the HSF, you can add it on when you register for your PALS course and we’ll take care of it on the first day.
BLS BLENDED
This is a learning module created by the HSF to prepare yourself for the in-person skills and stories. This must be done before the in-person session.
Once you register we will set you up with an access key for the BLS Blended module on the HSF website. If you need to cancel your course and have already claimed your access key for the Blended learning module, then we will need to retain a $80 surcharge fee as this is non-refundable via the HSF.
ELIGIBILITY
The PALS Renewal Course is for those who have taken a PALS course within the past 2 years.
